Card For The Day

Before I get to the reading of the day I would like to apologize for not being more consistent with the daily readings. Over the past couple of days since Christmas I have had the flu and so I haven’t been able to connect to Spirit as well as I would like for doing the readings. Thank you all for your patience. I also wanted to say that I received 8 new Oracle Card decks by Doreen Virtue for Christmas and so I will be using different decks for the readings as I feel led to. Now on with the reading!

Our card for the day, Saturday, January 5, 2013, is taken from the Archangel Michael Oracle Cards deck – Lean on God and the Angels for Support – This card represents: “Dear God and angels, I give you this situation now and completely. I step out of the way, and allow Divine miracles to shine through everyone and everything involved”. Even though we may be strong people, there are times when we need help and “taking care of” ourselves. We often show strength and put on a “brave face” even when our world is falling apart around us. There is no shame in needing help and asking for it. We don’t have to be the strong ones all the time. Sometimes we need to let someone take care of us for a change and ask for help when we need it.

There are also times and situations when we have done all we can do and given all we can give. Then it is time to turn it over to God and the Angels and let Him and them work the miracle that needs to happen in that situation or circumstance. When we do this however it is our job then to stay out of it and not take it back and try to interfere. Let God and the Angels work it out and accept what that is even if it’s not what we were wanting. Remember we only have a limited perception of any circumstance or situation, God and the Angels are able to see the bigger picture and what is in the highest good for all involved.

As I was shuffling the deck, one card jumped out – Be Gentle With Yourself – This card represents: “Archangel Michael, please guide me in treating myself with gentle, nurturing love in everything I think, speak and do. Help me know that I deserve this compassion. I release any feelings of guilt to you so that I may experience lasting inner peace”. I love how one card so nicely compliments the other when this happens. How often do we blame ourselves for things that go wrong in our careers or our relationships? I would say that for most of us that would be often. When we do we often hear our minds saying something like this: “How stupid I was to do that or to believe that person. I should have known better and not done this or that.” There are other statements we can all add to that I’m sure but when we do that to ourselves, we undermine our confidence and our self-worth. We are all human and as such we will continue to make mistakes but remember, mistakes are how we learn what it is that is right for us and what we don’t want in our lives. So maybe it’s time to change the mind chatter into more loving thoughts about our role in any situation and remember that we are always doing the best we can at any given time. Loving and forgiving ourselves is not selfish or self-centered. It is in loving and forgiving ourselves that we can give more love and forgiveness to the people in our lives.

Have a great day everyone!
