Our reading for the day, Saturday, April 20th, is taken from the Magical Messages From the Fairies Oracle Cards – Good-Bye to the Old, Hello to the New – “You’ve finished one part of your life, and now a new and even better part is beginning.”
From what I have been reading about the energies of late, this seems to be a time of releasing what no longer serves us. That could be a job, a relationship, a belief, or even material things such as old clothes or dishes or whatever we have around that is cluttering our lives and is not helping us on our journeys. Maybe this is also related to the time of year, you know, spring cleaning! All joking aside though, this is a time of re-evaluating everything in our lives and seeing what fits with who we are becoming and what doesn’t. Remember we have to let go of the old to make room for the new to come into our lives. We have to close one door for another one to open.
This “spring” cleaning isn’t always easy either. Sometimes when we look at the important things in our lives like our relationships, whether friends or lovers or whomever we may have in our lives who is constantly bringing us down or keeping us from being who we know deep inside we truly are, ending those relationships can be very difficult. I know because I have had to do that for myself. But sometimes it’s necessary to do this so we can move on to better relationships with people who understand who we are becoming and hopefully are walking the same path we are. There will sometimes be a grieving process for the ending of a relationship or relationships and that’s okay, it’s a natural part of the process.
Some of us are losing jobs or leaving them of our own accord because the work we were doing no longer fits who we are or what we want to have in our lives. And again that can be a very difficult transition. I know what that feels like as I had to leave my job 2 years ago. Not because I wanted to but because my body can no longer put up with the routine of my work.
Getting rid of clothes and dishes and books and so on is a whole lot easier. Well maybe not the books, some books are like old friends and parting with them can be difficult, but I like to think of it as releasing them to new owners who will enjoy the journey that I enjoyed as I read them.
It’s not easy adjusting to change, any change. We will make changes and then perhaps wonder if we did the right thing. The only way to know that is to gauge how we feel inside. When we are no longer around toxic people or situations, and when we have gotten rid of any excess clutter, then we will have more energy and less stress in our lives.
So whatever changes these energies are bringing to you, know that it’s a necessary part of the process of this shift we are all going through. Even though saying good-bye can be hard, welcoming the new will be delightful! Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
