Card For The Day

2ofa

Our card for the day, Friday, May 10th, is taken from the Angel Tarot Cards – Two of Air – “Being unable or unwilling to make a decision. A stalemate. Pretending there is no problem.”

The Suit of Air represents our intellect, it’s where we make decisions, analyze situations and give voice to our thoughts. Air is aligned with justice, truth, ideals, the legal system, communication, and other intellectual areas.

The number 2 represents: “Everything’s fine and will continue to be so. Keep believing, especially since your feelings of hope lead to more positive outcomes. The angels can buoy your faith if you’ll ask for their help.” Taken from Angel Numbers 101 by Doreen Virtue.

This card to me represents a romantic partnership where the couple involved has reached a stalemate in their relationship which probably occurred following some situation they were faced with and at odds about. Whatever it is has come between them and instead of doing something about it, they pretend nothing is wrong when there is a huge pink elephant in the room. When we let things fester and boil instead of dealing with them head on, whatever the problem is becomes so much bigger, leading to more and more distance between the two involved. Sometimes we put off dealing with the situation because we are afraid of what it will mean once we do. Will we win the battle and lose our partner, or will we lose the battle and be unhappy anyways. When we are faced with a decision to make, sometimes we spend too much time in our heads thinking about it instead of in our hearts feeling the emotions of the situation, and the love we feel for our partner.

The only way to work through any situation that arises is to deal with it as soon as it occurs. That means open and honest communication about the situation and our feelings regarding it. It also means being willing and able to listen to our partner’s side of things without judgment and being defensive. It’s shutting out the voice in our heads that says we are right and our partner is wrong, that we have to win no matter what the outcome. Instead we need to drop into our hearts and listen with love and compassion to what our partner has to say. We need to remember the love we feel for this person, the love that brought us together in the first place, and realize how important they are to us, more important than being right and winning. In any disagreement, someone has to give a little or we will be faced with a losing outcome that will only push away our partner and destroy our relationship.

Sometimes if there is no working things out then the only option is to walk away. However if that is the only recourse, don’t draw the situation out until it gets so bad that there will be no way of salvaging anything in the relationship. It’s better to come to terms with the ending of the relationship in as easy a way as possible so as not to destroy each other in the process. But before you end things be sure it’s what you really want. Weigh the pros and cons if you must but also listen to your heart, be in the love and ask what love would do in this situation. Always make the effort to do what is in the highest good for all involved including yourself. That’s the best we can do in any situation. When uncertain what to do or how to make things right, ask the angels to help you. Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
