Our card for the day, Monday, September 9th, is taken from the Angel Tarot Cards – Four of Air – “Time to rest or take a vacation. Allow more time before making a decision. Meditation may provide answers.”
The Suit of Air represents our intellect. It’s where we make decisions, analyze situations, and give voice to our thoughts. Air is aligned with justice, truth, ideals, the legal system, communication, and other intellectual areas. (taken from the Angel Tarot Cards guidebook)
The number 4 represents: “The angels are with you. They send you the number 4 to reassure you that they’ve heard your prayers and are helping you.” (Angel Numbers 101) As I opened my iPhone to go into the Angel Numbers 101 app, the time was 4:44! The time of 4:44 is known as Angel time which comes from a book called “The Messengers: A True Story of Angelic Presence and the Return to the Age of Miracles” by Julia Ingram; G.W. Hardin that I read a number of years ago. Now how cool is that??
Over the past couple of days we have been talking about changes and decisions and how to deal with both. I feel this card is a continuation of that theme. Sometimes when we are in the midst of chaos, or have major life changing decisions to make, or we are worried about what we see going on in our world, the threat of war and economic collapse to name a couple, our bodies are undergoing a lot of stress. This stress can lead to fatigue, illness, forgetfulness and depression, to name a few. The best way to cope with this stress is to learn to find that still place within ourselves. A place we can go to anytime we are feeling on edge, stressed out, confused or overwhelmed with what is going on in our own lives or in the world around us. Honestly a good meditation practice is a necessity not a luxury in these times of great change.
If we are feeling stressed, or overwhelmed and confused, how are we going to make the decisions that we may be called on to make? How can we know the right course of action to take? Again in comes back to taking time out to regroup, to calm our minds, so that we can hear our own higher guidance, and follow our own intuition. We can’t hear it, or feel it, if our minds are full of constant chatter and fearful thoughts. Sometimes we need to withdraw from the world even for just a few minutes to find that stillness at the core of our beings.
We also need to remember that we are not powerless to affect change in the midst of chaos. We are all beautiful, eternal, powerful beings of light, we are not insignificant mere mortals as we have been led to believe. Not one of us walks this path alone or faces anything in our lives alone. We all have guardian angels and spirit guides with us who are willing to help us deal with our choices and decisions if we only ask, because remember they can’t help us if we don’t ask them to because of our free will. We are all so very loved and protected even if it doesn’t feel like it at times. All we need to do is ask for help and then be open to receive that help in whatever form it takes. Sometimes the answer is not immediately forthcoming and here we need to be patient until the answer comes or the way is made known to us.
A quote I have learned to rely on myself is “When in doubt, do nothing.” That means don’t buy it or sign it or do anything in the heat of the moment or if we are uncertain. Take the time to make an informed decision, learn all the facts first before diving in. Here is a quote from the Bible: Luke 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.”
So as we go about our days, let’s make the time, a few minutes a day, to begin a meditation practice, or be in nature where we can hear ourselves think, where we can listen to our heart and our soul to find the answers to any problem, no matter how big or how small. I will leave you with another quote, this one from Deepak Chopra, that I like and that I find helpful when I feel stressed or overwhelmed “All is perfect, all is well”. Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
