Happy 2014!

Hi Everyone!

Happy 2014! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays. The days leading up to the holidays are always filled with the hustle and bustle of shopping and preparing our homes and ourselves. Then on Christmas Eve, when the last gift has been bought and the last decoration has been hung, we can finally relax and let the beauty of the season settle into our spirits. This is always my favorite night of the holidays.

It’s been a busy time for myself and my family. And to top it all off we have over 4 feet of snow on the ground since the middle of December. Then this past weekend we had a blizzard that had us without power for a couple of days. So not only have we had to deal with a lot of snow and bitter cold, record breaking temperatures, we also had no electricity! This is when you learn to appreciate the simple things in life.

All that being said, life is returning to normal for us. I’m ready to face a brand new year with all that it offers. And I’m also ready to get back to my daily card readings here on this page and my blogs. I look forward to sharing with you my own experiences of the coming year and I have also decided to start a gratitude journal this year so that at the end of the year I can look back at all the blessings that God has bestowed upon me in 2014. Remember the best way to have more to be thankful for is to show gratitude for what we already have!

So with that in mind, today I am grateful that our electricity has been restored, we have heat and warm food to eat, and we are all safe and well. What are you grateful for today? I would love to hear from all of you!
