Our card for the day, Friday, January 31st, is taken from the Archangel Power Tarot Cards – Nine of Michael – “Your worry is unnecessary! Focus your thoughts on the outcome you desire. Release feelings of regret, guilt, or worry to your angels.”
The Suit of Michael represents our ability to think our way clear of our challenges and to soar to new heights of brilliance. These cards signal issues regarding communication, speaking our truths, and freeing ourselves of our illusions of being trapped. Archangel Michael is a protector and guardian of all of the world’s people, and a champion of truth and justice. (taken from the Archangel Power Tarot Cards guidebook)
The number 9 represents: “Get to work Lightworker – Now! The number 9 means that you’ve completed all of the prerequisites to achieve your life purpose. Stop procrastinating, as it’s time to start taking action steps. Even baby steps are useful.” (Angel Numbers 101)
Oh as humans, how much we like to worry and fret over everything that happens in our lives. Even when we are happy we worry that something will happen to take our happiness away. When we get what we want we are afraid we will lose it. We are so focused on worrying about what might happen that we fail to appreciate what we have in this moment. We spend so much time mulling over the past, thinking about what we have done and what others have done to us, or on the other side of that coin, we are too busy thinking about what might happen in the future or planning for the future that we neglect today, right now this minute. Let’s face it, most of what we worry might happen rarely does, and if it does, then it is quite possible that our focus on it has brought it to pass, like a self-fulfilling prophecy.
This card has come to remind us to stop living in the past or in the future and to focus on today, on this moment in time, because truly that is all we have, this moment. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow or even 10 minutes from now. All we can really be sure of is this moment so why not take pleasure in it? Why not be happy with who we have and what we have in our lives right now? If we can BE in this moment then we will find peace because we won’t be fretting over the past or worrying about the future. We are in the moment and nothing can take away that moment’s happiness unless we let it. It would serve us to remember that by living in this moment and being happy and feeling gratitude for all that we have right now, we are then creating our future moments based on this one.
We all have regrets, we all have done or said things we wish we had or hadn’t done or said. But dwelling on them doesn’t change them. Worrying about what might or might not happen in the future is so completely a waste of our time, our energy and our focus. Where we need to have our focus is on the present moment and, in that moment, be filled with joy and appreciation for all that we have, and for those people in our lives that we love and who love us.
God takes care of all creatures in His creation, so what makes us think He’s not taking care of us and our needs for tomorrow, or next week, or next year? Do we not trust Him to take care of us in the future as He as taken care of us in the past? For as long as I can remember, I have been taken care of in one way or another depending on my circumstances at the time. I can recount to you numerous ways that God has given me what I need even if I did worry about it. When He does that then I laugh at myself for even worrying about it in the first place and causing myself so much grief. So even when things seem impossible to us, they are not impossible for Him who created all things and Who oversees every cell in His creation including each of us.
Our “job” here is to live in joy and love. We are the King’s kids! It is not for us to worry or regret. If something is meant to be, whether that’s a relationship, or a job, or having enough to eat, or money to pay the bills, if we stay focused on the positive outcome then we can rest assured things will always work out for us. So let’s live in this moment, and be in joy, and give Him thanks for all the good things He has given us, knowing all the while that there is much much more to come.
Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
