Our card for today, Wednesday, May 14th, is taken from The Psychic Tarot for the Heart – # 3 Nurture – Key words: Cherish, nourish, blossom, abundance, nature, and creativity. (The Psychic Tarot for the Heart Oracle Deck Guidebook)
The number 3 represents creativity, harmony, happiness, growth, connection, enthusiasm, and children. (The Psychic Tarot for the Heart Oracle Deck Guidebook)
This card reminds us that no relationship can flourish without time and attention. Just as a flower needs the sun, water and nutrient rich soil to grow and bloom, so too our relationships require us to nurture them or they will wither and die just as a flower dies without the proper care.
Sometimes we take our relationships for granted, and that includes our romantic relationships as well as friendships and family relationships. However this is our reminder to find ways to spend extra time making the people in our lives feel special and appreciated. Make the effort to make a phone call, or write a letter, or go for a visit. We can do something nice for them that shows how much we love them. We need to be kind, considerate and compassionate with those people we care about if we want to have and maintain healthy, thriving relationships.
For our romantic relationships, we need to be sure that our partners know how much we love them. We need to say it and to show it and not assume that they know how we feel about them. We need to make the effort to do special things with our partners, like plan a romantic dinner for two, or go to a movie, or do something that we used to like to do together in the early stages of our relationship. It also helps if we look nice for them, put on something special or at least take a little extra time with our appearance instead of wearing sweats or pj’s around them all the time. You get the idea.
The same is true regarding our relationships with ourselves. We need to take time to care for ourselves so that we have the energy and the time to give to others. We should take time every day to be alone nurturing our own soul. We can do this by doing something that we love to do, something creative, or listening to music, or a nice bubble bath. Whatever it is that helps us to feel good about ourselves and makes us happy. When we feel good and take care of ourselves, then we have more to bring to our relationships.
So let’s make it a point to do something special for those we love. It doesn’t have to be something big or dramatic, it can be as simple as a note in a lunch box or brief case that says “I love you”. Let’s put our creativity to work to come up with some ideas of how to nurture our relationships. The extra time and effort will be well worth it in the end.
Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
