Our card for today, Friday, August 1st, is taken from the Angel Tarot Cards by Doreen Virtue & Radleigh Valentine – 16 Life Experience/Archangel Chamuel – “A significant life event. A powerful revelation that leads to change. Time to spread your wings.”
16 represents – “Your words are magnetic affirmations that draw to you the very things you talk and think about. For this reason, the angels remind you to be aware of your words and thoughts.” (Angel Numbers 101)
Archangel Chamuel can help you find whatever you’re seeking, including right relationships and a Divinely guided career. Call upon Chamuel and then follow your intuition, which is the way this angel speaks to you.” (Angel Tarot Cards guidebook)
A significant life event can include any one of the following experiences like a new job or the loss of a job, the birth of a child, the beginning or ending of a romantic relationship, getting married or divorced, moving to a new area, the death of a loved one, severe weather or a fire that causes loss of property, or some major world event that directly impacts our own lives. There may be others that come to mind but you get the idea.
Anytime we face something major in our lives it will change our lives completely for better or for worse. The way our lives change is directly proportionate to how we view the experience, whether it is felt to be positive or negative, or perhaps both at the same time. Any major change can open us up to something profoundly life altering and how we perceive the change will determine how our lives unfold from that moment on.
It’s easy to be happy and grateful when the event is a positive one, but it’s not so easy to see a negative event in the light of being a blessing. We can choose to see the event as a positive experience that will lead us down a new path, perhaps a better life awaits us on this new path. We can choose to see the silver lining instead of letting it make us bitter, fearful and angry. Certainly we will need some time to grieve the loss of a loved one, or the ending of a relationship, or even the loss of a job. However we can’t let our grief destroy us or let it drag on indefinitely.
Say for example in the case of losing a job, perhaps we can see this as a positive experience in that now we are free to explore other options that maybe we would not have done if we hadn’t lost the job. We might have been miserable working in this job even though we needed the money to pay the bills and so on. However the job wasn’t in alignment with our true selves. Now however we have the opportunity to look for another job, a better job that is in alignment with who we are.
What we need to remember is that everything that happens to us, whether big or small, happens for a reason, something that is for our highest good, even if we can’t see that at the time. We fear change, any kind of change, because we like the security of things remaining the same. However there is one constant in life that we can count on and that is change. Nothing remains the same forever and so we need to find a way to face change and see it as a positive thing in our lives.
Change happens to create positive growth in ourselves as spiritual beings. We can let change make us or break us. We can view it as a chance to learn more about ourselves or we can let it bring us down to the depths of despair. We also need to remember too that we are the creators of our own reality and so the way we view any change, and the way we think and talk about this change is going to determine where this change will take us and how our lives will unfold from here.
So isn’t it better to find the positive behind whatever befalls us so that we remain connected to our authentic selves as joyful creators of love and light? Then as we move forward we are continuing to draw to us all that is good and beautiful in life.
Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
