Card For Today

Protection

Our card for today, Tuesday, January 20th, is taken from the Magical Mermaids and Dolphins Oracle Cards – Protection – “You, your loved ones, and your possessions are safe and protected by Heaven.”

Sometimes we find ourselves worrying about those we love and what may happen to them. However this card reminds us that God in His love and wisdom is the Great Protector. We only have to turn our worries and concerns about the safety and welfare of those we love over to Him and then trust that He will take care of them. And even if the worst should happen, that they make their transition from this life to return home to the realms of love and light, we must trust and have faith that they are okay.

Oh how we fear death! It is an all-consuming fear in the hearts of many. But what is it we fear? We fear the unknown because we don’t know what happens to us when we die. However we can rest assured that death is not the end. Even Jesus said: “In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” ~John 14:2~ We are so afraid that death is the end. That once we take our last breath we will cease to exist.

I have read several books on life after death, for example Sylvia Browne’s books: “Life on the Other Side” and “The Other Side and Back” which I highly recommend. In these books Sylvia describes what life is like on the other side or as I like to call it, back home. When we come here, we take on the veil of forgetfulness because as Sylvia says in one of her books, if we remembered what our lives were like on the other side, we would all sit twiddling our thumbs waiting for the time to come to go back home. We wouldn’t do what we came here to do because all of our longing would be focused on returning home.

Another book I read recently is “Visions, Trips, And Crowded Rooms” by David Kessler. In this book David talks about the visions that the dying have before the actual moment of death, visions of the afterlife. When a person is close to death, they often see many of their loved ones who have gone before them, angels, Jesus or Mother Mary, or other religious icons that come from each person’s individual beliefs, hence the crowded rooms. This book is just another reminder that death is not something to be feared but something that is truly a beautiful rite of passage, another birth back into the realms of love and light from which we all come.

Then we have the books by James Van Praagh in which he describes how our loves ones who have crossed over come to visit us often. If we think of someone we love who has gone home, they know this and come to be with us. One of the most important things that those who have made their transition would say to us is to not worry about them or mourn for them because they are alive and happy on the other side. And any time we smell their perfume or cologne, or anything else that we might see or feel that reminds us of them, they are near. Truly they are never far from us even in death.

So even though we may have loved ones who are getting ready to make their transition or for whom we are worried about their safety for one reason or another, even if the worst did happen, it would be a joyous day in their lives. So you see, there is nothing to fear but fear itself. When we return home, we resume the lives we left to make this trip and fulfill our mission. We have friends and family that have crossed over before us, and we also have friends and family who never left home and are waiting for our return even though we can’t remember them while we are here. On the other side, we remember this life and our loved ones and all of our past lives as well. We have nothing to fear if we put our faith and trust in God because truly we are always safe and protected by Heaven.

Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
