Our card for today, Tuesday, July 7th, is taken from the Guardian Angel Tarot Cards – Nine of Thought – “Stop being so hard on yourself, and turn your thoughts toward the positive. There’s no need to worry! Anticipating the worst isn’t helpful. Know that Heaven will provide a solution. If you’re experiencing sleepless nights or anxiety over a challenge in your life, release the problem to your angels.”
The Suit of Thought represents our perceptions, the ways in which we manage our personal truths and integrity, concerns about justice and fairness, and the impact of the Low of Attraction in our lives. Our minds are powerful tools that can either work for us or work against us depending on whether we choose an optimistic and hopeful approach or allow ourselves to fall into pessimism and fear. These cards also refer to how we communicate with others. They ask us to be kind with our words and to remember to speak our truth in a way we’d like to hear others speak theirs. (Guardian Angel Tarot Guidebook)
9 represents: “Get to work Lightworker – Now! The number 9 means that you’ve completed all of the prerequisites to achieve your life purpose. Stop procrastinating, as it’s time to start taking action steps. Even baby steps are useful.” (Angel Numbers 101)
This card is a reminder that we can be our own worst enemies in the ways we talk to ourselves. We would never say to others some of the things we say to ourselves. If we make a mistake or an error in judgment, we tell ourselves we are stupid. If we have a hard time finding love, then we tell ourselves that we are not worthy of love, or we are not smart enough, or handsome or pretty enough, or any one of a number of things along that line of thought. There is always some reason why we berate ourselves. I bet many of us have this running conversation in our heads telling us why we are undeserving of all the good things life has to offer and most of us don’t even realize it a lot of the time.
However there is a way to put a stop to that negative voice in our heads and that is by replacing those negative thoughts with positive ones. Louise Hay is one of many people who talk about using positive affirmations to change the way we think, and to also use a mirror to tell ourselves that we deeply love and cherish ourselves. So many of us don’t love ourselves, even if we think we do. If we stop and listen to that inner voice, we become aware of the negative commentary it’s giving us on our lives, on our choices, and our actions, and so on. But we do have the power to stop that and replace all those negative thoughts with positive ones. And remember, if we are looking for love, then we must first learn to love ourselves, because we can’t give to someone what we first can’t give to ourselves.
Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
