Our card for today, Tuesday, November 10th, is taken from the Fairy Tarot Cards – Prince of Summer – “Falling in love suddenly. Being swept off your feet. The need to stay grounded during a very emotional experience.”
The Suit of Summer – represents a rich and fulfilling season. We often spend time near or in the water (the symbol of emotion). The seeds we planted in the spring are growing rapidly and providing us with wonderful experiences. Summer is also the suit of: emotional well-being, family bonds, joy in life, finding love, committing ourselves to relationships, having children, and building lives with the ones we love. In the depths of our emotions, we experience our intuition and psychic gifts more fully. And so this suit brings us spiritual growth that leads to an understanding of what really matters in our lives. (Fairy Tarot Cards Guidebook)
The Dandelion represents releasing lower energies such as anger, resentment, bitterness, and jealousy. It doesn’t take away these lower emotions but instead, it brings to your attention the reasons why you have them. Once you can understand these emotions you will be better able to deal with similar experiences in the future. The Dandelion also represents granting wishes. The snowball-like Dandelion seeds are great to work with; they’re especially good for making your dreams come true. (I’m sure we all remember picking these as children and making a wish before blowing the seeds into the air, and we are never too old to do this with our current dreams and desires.) The angels say they’re like little messengers that go out, completing your request. (from Flower Therapy by Doreen Virtue and Robert Reeves)
This card is about falling in love! Oh doesn’t that sound just grand for those of us who are single at the moment. But we are being reminded that this Prince, although romantic and good at making our wishes come true, is also a flirt. And so even though he (or she) may have our blood pumping and our hearts a-flutter, we also need to stay grounded in the fact that it may or may not last. What looks good in the light of the moon may look very different in the full light of day. The heart this prince is holding in his hand is made of glass and therefore fragile, and so we need to be cautious with giving our hearts to these fly-by-night Lotharios. For them its easy come, easy go.
That’s not to say that this leopard can’t change his spots, because like any of us, if he (or she) finds true and lasting love, then they are more likely to give up their wandering ways and settle down. However this card is offering a word of caution to be sure of who we are dealing with before we find ourselves on the floor, with the breath knocked out of us, wondering what the heck just happened. So enjoy the romance and the attention, but be aware that this lover can just as easily swoop out as fast as he or she swooped in.
Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
