Our card for today, Tuesday, November 24th, is taken from the Fairy Tarot Cards – Eight of Autumn – “Do more research before proceeding. Education in the form of seminars, going back to school, or apprenticeships. Excellent craftsmanship and long-term projects.”
The Suit of Autumn – represents a time of harvest. Our efforts to create a satisfying career and a comfortable life now reap results. These cards pertain to the daily, material aspects of life on Earth such as safety and security, finances, our physical well-being, educating our children (and ourselves), and the work we do. These cards are also about material abundance such as our homes, belongings, and investing for the future. Because all of this is dependent upon our beautiful world, this suit represents concerns for the environment and the wonderful animals who share this planet with us. (Fairy Tarot Cards Guidebook)
8 represents: “The number 8 signifies abundance and prosperity. The endless loops in the number signify an infinite flow of money, time, ideas, or whatever else you require (especially for your life purpose).” (Angel Numbers 101)
Many of us on this spiritual journey read many articles and posts on “spiritual” websites, or we subscribe to the teachings of some ascended master, or we follow the “channeled” readings of people who say they receive messages from some alien race or other being who claims to have the answers we are looking for. This card is issuing a word of caution here. Before we jump on anyone’s bandwagon, we need to do some research for ourselves to determine if this person is who they say they are, and if what they are getting is truth.
Often we can tell if something is right or true by how it makes us feel. If something we read or hear engenders fear in us, then chances are it’s not the truth or it’s coming from a source that is not of love and light. Sometimes if something causes us to feel fear, it might not be that it’s not true, it could just mean we are not ready to hear it yet. This is why it is also a good idea not to try to discredit something someone says just because it doesn’t ring true for us. Most good channels of information, no matter where it comes from, will always advise their readers or listeners to use their own discernment, how it makes us feel inside ourselves, and to take only what resonates with us and to let the rest go.
There is a lot of good information out there on many spiritual topics, but there is also a lot of information that is questionable. That is why this card is urging us to be careful what we accept into our energy field as truth without first doing some research ourselves. We can trust our inner guidance on this subject just as we can in all other areas of our lives. Just be careful.
Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
