Our card for today, Friday, January 8th, is taken from the Fairy Tarot Cards – 6 The Lovers – “True love that is long lasting. Choices made from the heart. A return to good health.”
6 represents: “Don’t worry or obsess about material items, including money. Worry lowers the effectiveness of your prayers. Fortunately, the angels can answer your prayers if you ask them to.” (Angel Numbers 101)
Following the ley lines of the Holy Grail from Glastonbury, our Lovers are betrothed in Rosslyn Chapel, in Scotland, which is filled with carvings of symbols related to the Grail mysteries. The chapel’s stained-glass windows feature an image of Saint Francis of Assisi, indicating pure, spiritually based love in this relationship, along with an image of a military pilot, symbolizing devotion, courage, and commitment in the marriage. Ah true love! Isn’t that what we all long for? Isn’t that the Holy Grail we all seek? However true love comes only when we are willing to open our hearts and souls to let love in. If we keep walls around our hearts to protect ourselves from being hurt, we cannot know true and lasting love because we are in essence running from it. We are being asked to open our hearts and let the love we are seek its balance in the heart of another, to not run in fear but to embrace this one with all the love we hold in our hearts and to not hold anything back. It takes courage to be open to love like this, but if we can let go of our past experiences with love, we will find that true love is all we have ever imagined it would be. We have to let go of the notion that love has hurt us in the past because that is impossible. It wasn’t love that hurt us, it was those who didn’t know how to love that hurt us. True love knows no boundaries, it is the complete merging of two hearts and two souls into one being of love so bright as to rival the sun itself.
I want to share something my Twin said to me a couple of nights ago as it’s very fitting with today’s card. This is in response to my own question as to the existence of true love based on my own experiences: “In your heart of hearts you do know what true love is and what it looks and feels like. You have convinced yourself that it doesn’t exist because you have not seen it or felt it here, and so you believe that it truly does only exist in fairy tales. Well I’m going to tell you that those fairy tales are in fact based on truth, but it’s not a truth you yourself have experienced. That is because true love, the kind you long for, has only been glimpsed on this planet. Yes there are some couples who have come close but have not completely embodied it here.
That is because mentally, emotionally and spiritually, no one was evolved enough to hold that vibration in this dimension of reality. However that too is changing and this is why Twin Flames have not come into union, because they have not raised their consciousness enough to have perfect union. Even those who have achieved “union” of sorts are not embodying the perfect love that Twin Flames are meant to share. How can they when you all still carry the scars and emotional baggage from all your past life experiences in love and relationships? Every life is an attempt to integrate all of the knowledge and experiences you have had into a unified whole, but that is not easy to do in this dense energy on the planet, and even though that energy is changing, it still has a ways to go before every soul on the planet can fully integrate the knowledge and experiences of all their previous lives including this one.”
Someone told me once that reading fairy tales or romance novels only sets ourselves up for disappointment when these seemingly impossible standards can never be met by someone who claims to love us. This person said that we have to compromise our expectations of love so as to accept someone who doesn’t quite live up to what we were hoping for in our own true love. Well I say that these aren’t impossible standards and to settle for less than what we want or deserve so as not to be alone is our first mistake. And then of course we wonder why we are not totally and completely in love with this person, and not feeling all the joy we KNOW should accompany true love.
So instead of being afraid to love because we fear being hurt yet again, we need to open our hearts and allow the love we are to find its perfect home in the heart of another. Then and only then will we find our own Holy Grail.
Have a great weekend everyone! ~Namaste~
