Our card for today, Wednesday, May 9th, is taken from the Ask and It Is Given Cards – Since Every Request Is Granted, I Feel No Competition – “Each point of view matters; every request is granted. There is no end to the Universal resources that fulfill these requests, and there is no end to the answers to the never-ending stream of questions – and, for that reason, there is no competition.”
This card is a reminder that the Universe has unlimited resources with which to grant any and all requests, and to answer all questions. When we don’t have what we want, or the desire we have sent a request for hasn’t been answered yet, we as humans believe that there must be a lack of things to go around. However that is not the case as we have seen from the teachings of Jesus and from the teachings of Abraham. So according to Abraham, it’s not that the object of our desire is not being given, it’s that we ourselves are not yet a vibrational match to it. This is where using our imagination comes in. In a previous reading we learned that our imaginations are our greatest tools for creating our realities and that includes all the things and people and so on that we want to have in it.
The idea is to imagine our lives as we want them to be, including the people, the things, the sights, the sounds, the smells, the tastes, our own feelings of happiness and fulfillment, and anything else we can think of to add to that imagined scene. I read about a man who was wanting a new car. He placed photos of that car around the house, he spent time imagining it being in the driveway, the new car smell, the way it would feel to drive it and so on. He had it right down to the color of the interior and exterior. He even had his kids working on this with their imaginations too. Then one day the money came for him to buy the car. It sounds easy, almost too easy, doesn’t it? However it can be difficult to hold the vision of what it is we desire, especially if it takes some time for it to manifest into our current reality. It’s easy to give up when what we should be doing is having faith and trust that it’s on its way to us. Patience is after all a virtue, one I’m working on too.
Then we have to work on our feelings of worthiness. It’s one thing to work on the imagining of what it is we want, it’s a whole other thing to believe we are worthy of it. No one can really help us with that except ourselves. It’s hard when we believe we are worthless, or not good enough for some reason, to imagine that we have the very things and people in our lives that we long for. It’s hard to feel worthy when we listen to things like “you were born dirty, you were born of sin” and other things like that which were told to us by the powers that be to keep us down and therefore easier to control. But Jesus said that we are His brothers and sisters in God. We are created from the very love and light and goodness that is God, so then how can we be anything other than worthy of all the best that this life has to offer?
I remember in my late teens or early 20’s reading a book called “How to Live Like a King’s Kid” by Harold Hill. Hill writes, “Let’s go. Let’s walk and possess the land. Inherit the Kingdom prepared for you. Live like a King’s Kid. In the here and now.” “King’s Kids are God’s children – princes and princesses in the royal family of the King of kings. If you’re a believer, you’re a true King’s Kid.” So if we are the King’s Kids, how are we not worthy of all the good that our Father wants to give us? We are worthy, but in order to receive, we must first believe in our own worthiness. It’s time to forget all these ideas about our unworthiness, no matter where they came from, be it from parents or siblings, or our peers growing up, or from teachers or ministers, or anywhere else we may have heard that our worthiness is in question. You are so worthy, You, yes YOU, because you are one of the King’s kids!
Now put that request out there for whatever it is you desire, imagine your life as it would be if you already had it, and feel your own worthiness to have it because it is that feeling of worthiness that will raise your vibration to make you a match for it. Remember Jesus said, “Ask and it is given”. Remember too that there is no limit to God’s abundance and so there is more than enough to go around, no matter what it is we are asking for. I will also remind you too that it is not our job to figure out the “how” of our receiving our desire, we are told to leave the “how” to God or the Universe. It is only our job to make the request and then to have faith that it is already ours. Imagine if we all believed we were the King’s kids how different our world would be!
Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~
