Our card for today, Friday, June 1st, is taken from the Messages from Your Angels Oracle Cards – Archangel Uriel – “Your emotions are healing, which enables you to open to greater love. I will help you release anger and unforgiveness from your heart and mind.”
Most of us as Lightworkers feel that we should always be feeling positive emotions like love, or forgiveness, or joy. However what that generally means is that we refuse to acknowledge our lesser or more negative emotions like anger, or fear, or unforgiveness, as well as others. We push down our negative emotions and force ourselves to try to feel the positive emotions instead. If we can’t allow ourselves to feel and express our more negative emotions, then we close a part of ourselves off, and those negative emotions then sit inside us festering until they release themselves in some way, usually in the form of dis-ease.
If we refuse to acknowledge our lesser emotions, then we are being untrue to ourselves and we are not being our whole selves. Anger, fear, and unforgiveness are not necessarily negative, they are our way of expressing our unacceptance of things that happen to us personally or to others. Even Jesus got angry as we see in this passage from the Bible: “13 Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 And He found in the temple those who sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers doing business. 15 When He had made a whip of cords, He drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen, and poured out the changers’ money and overturned the tables. 16 And He said to those who sold doves, “Take these things away! Do not make My Father’s house a house of merchandise!”” (John 2:13-16) Jesus expressed anger at what He saw happening in God’s temple.
In Ephesians 4:26 we are told it’s okay to be angry as long as we do not sin. “Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger.” So with this in mind, it’s not about the emotion we are feeling, it’s about how we act on that emotion. There are healthy ways to express our negative emotions that doesn’t involve hurting someone else or ourselves. But we need to feel and express these emotions because burying them inside ourselves only hurts us. We have to own all that we are, the good, the bad and the in-between. If we don’t do so then we are not being authentic. Part of our transformation or ascension process is going back into our past in this life, as well as looking at our past lives, and healing all the pain and trauma we have experienced. The only way to do that is to FEEL those emotions as they come up, and that’s why they do come up, so that we can heal them, but to heal them we must first feel them!
It’s okay to be sad and cry, crying is healing, and just as it’s okay to cry, it’s also okay to feel anger. If we don’t allow ourselves to feel these lower emotions, then they are always going to be stuck inside us only to emerge when we get angry or sad about something else. Healing our anger, or our grief, or our fear is the only way to release it. If we are having a hard time with healing these emotions, we can pray asking God and the angels for help doing so. Remember we are not expected to be perfect, and we are not expected to never feel sad, or angry, or frustrated, or anything else that comes with living in a physical body in this reality. It’s all in how we deal with our emotions that matters.
