Our card for the weekend, June 2nd & 3rd, is taken from the Archangel Power Tarot Cards – Justice – “Fight for justice and equality. Rulings made in your favor. Don’t give up!”
As Lightworkers part of our mission on this planet is to fight for justice and equality among all peoples and even for all the creatures that we share this planet with. Zechariah 7:9 says: “This is what the LORD Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.” I saw it written somewhere that justice is love and love is justice. The main teaching of Jesus was to love one another and so if we love one another we will see that justice is done. If we truly love everyone then we won’t stand by and watch while anyone, or any group, is being oppressed or bullied. We are meant to stand up for those who are unable to stand up for themselves. If we stand by and do nothing while we see others being oppressed or bullied, then we are just as bad as those doing the bullying or oppressing, because by doing nothing we allow the action or behavior to continue.
It can be difficult to do what is right when it goes against what the majority is doing. But the reason so much bad happens in this world is because good people do nothing. So many people on this planet today are so caught up with their technology that no one sees what is going on around them. All you have to do is go to a mall, or another busy place with lots of people around, and just look at how many people are walking around looking at their cell phone. And I’m not talking about people who are walking around alone, I’m talking about people who are with someone else also doing the same thing. Sometimes it seems like we have forgotten how to communicate with one another one on one. It seems we are all too engrossed in something on our phones. The same applies at restaurants, so many people are looking at their phones instead of enjoying the company of their family or friends who are with them.
Something is wrong here people. I’m not against technology as I personally think some of it is great, but it does have its place and time and should not be a substitute for paying attention to what is happening in the world around us, or for genuine interaction with the people in our lives and not just on social media. Our full attention is needed if we are going to correct the many injustices in this world. Some injustices are going to require people to stand up and speak out against the crimes we see happening around us. I understand that no one wants to draw attention to themselves. We live in a society where so many are trying to blend in rather than stand out and speak up. It takes courage and strength to do what is right, what is just, but that is what we are being called on to do. It is up to us, “we the people”, to make a stand for what is right and to hold accountable those who oppress or bully those who are too weak to stand up for themselves.
This reminded me of a song by the Maranatha Singers – Micah 6:8 “He has shown thee, O man, what is good; and what the LORD requires of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.” You can find the song on Youtube – Maranatha!
