Card For Today

Open Your Heart

Our card for today, Thursday, June 28th, is taken from the Nature’s Whispers Oracle Cards – Open Your Heart – “The truth of our world, nature and environment is love.”

This is a calling to each of us to open our hearts to the love that we are. As we have seen before, everything is love, no exceptions and no matter what it looks like. For the most part, loving our family and friends is easy, but can we open our hearts to love those who persecute us as well? Jesus came to teach us about love, how to love our Father God, and how to love each other. He didn’t put restrictions on His love, He loved everyone equally whether rich or poor, Jew or Gentile, black or white. He didn’t care about anything else but that every person is a child of God and that was all that mattered to Him. We are being asked to love as He did, as He taught us to do.

However if we are going to open our hearts to love, we first need to love ourselves. We can’t give love to another if we first don’t love ourselves. I like the teachings of Matt Kahn who follows the teachings of Jesus. I just started reading his book “Whatever Arises, Love That: A Love Revolution That Begins With You”. I’m not very far into it yet but I have been following Matt’s teachings for some time through his Youtube videos. Basically he tells us that if we are angry, or sad, or judgmental, it is a cry for us to love ourselves more because of it. One of the things he likes to do is have people repeat after him by simply saying “I love you!” over and over and over again.

So if we can look at our own bad moods and negative feelings as a reason to give ourselves more love not less, then it stands to reason that when someone is being mean to us, or judging us, or causing us pain in any way, it’s also a cry for us to love them more and not less. It’s not easy to do, it’s much easier to love those who are kind to us, who treat us well, but the challenge is to look at those who treat us badly as someone who needs our love more than those who are nice to us. As the saying goes, “hurt people hurt people”, and that in itself tells us that those are the ones who need our love more than anyone else. If we just return hurt for hurt, we are only perpetuating the problem.

This is not to say that we stay in an abusive relationship or let anyone cause us harm, we can still leave a bad situation and send love to that person and pray for them. Actually what better way to show love for someone who has treated us badly than to pray for them, to pray that their hearts open to the love that they are so that they can know the love that God has for them. Everyone on the planet is on a journey to return home to love, and of course not everyone is following the same path as there are many paths that lead home. It is not for us to judge another’s journey or process, our mission is to love everyone no matter what they do or how bad it seems. We are part of the love revolution, and it’s time to open our hearts and let our love flow out to all who need it, so that we can help bring everyone home.

Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~

Card For Today

Authenticity

Our card for today, Monday, June 25th, is taken from the Archangel Gabriel Oracle Cards – Authenticity – “Trust that your real self, whom God created Divinely perfect, has the strength and knowledge needed for this situation.”

Whatever situation, trial or tribulation we face, this card assures us that we have whatever it takes to work this out for the highest good of all involved. Let’s look at it this way, we are all the King’s kids, meaning we are all created by God, as pieces of Him to experience life in this dimension. We know that God is Love and that means we too must be Love if we are particles of God. This also means that everyone on this planet, in spite of color, culture, sexual orientation, country or religion is our brother or sister in God. Jesus said we are to love each other, no exceptions. So if we are uncertain as to how to settle a disagreement, or how to work through any situation, we can look at it from the point of view of “what would love do?” There is a saying: “No matter the question, love is always the answer.” By Gail Lynne Goodwin. So if we are being true to who and what we are, we will always find a solution for any situation through love.

Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~

Card For Today

The High Lady of Love and Compassion

Our card for today, Tuesday, June 19th, is taken from the Wisdom of the Hidden Realms Oracle Cards – The High Lady of Love and Compassion – “She brings you a deep and meaningful message: she reminds you that only Love is real.”

It has been said that we live in an illusion in which we are like avatars living in a simulated reality. I don’t have a problem with this concept because this physical body we inhabit does not hold our entire soul. I have read that our soul splits into 12 parts with one part remaining in spirit as our Higher Self and the other eleven parts are experiencing life on this planet, or on other planets, or even other dimensions. It’s also true that we have lived many lives, reincarnating time and time again on this planet, or on others, or again in other dimensions.

Keeping all of this in mind, every incarnation, every experience we have in a physical body, or any other type of body depending on where we might incarnate, is all about our growth as souls. Every experience we have, good or bad, is teaching us about ourselves, who we are as spirit, and who we are as Love. And as we are all pieces of God, all of our experiences go back to Him so that He too experiences it all with us. So based on this, we are all here playing parts for each other or for the world at large and we ourselves have been it all, the good, the bad, and everything in between. We have been the abuser and the abused, the victim and the perpetrator, and so on. All for our soul’s growth. I believe it was Neale Donald Walsch who said imagine the soul who played Hitler and who then maybe came back as Mother Teresa, and the tremendous growth that would have been for that soul! He also said that Hitler went to Heaven and that when we understand this then we will understand God.

What does that mean exactly? I watched a video by Gregg Braden called “The 7 Essene Mirrors”, on Youtube, in which he stated that everything is God, no exception, and that God is Love and that means that everything is Love, no exception. Now how can that be when we look at our world today or even going back to the time of Hitler and all that he did, or any other “bad” person in our history? If we look at the premise of this card that only Love is real, does that help make sense of what I have said here? Every soul on this planet is playing a part to help with the growth of every other soul, and as all souls are part of God and if God is Love, then no matter what part a soul plays in our individual lives or in the world at large, it can only be Love because only Love is real.

In believing that only Love is real and everything else is just an illusion doesn’t excuse us from allowing bad things to happen. Let’s face it, most of the population on this planet is asleep at the wheel so to speak. Everyone goes about their daily lives of work or school, their families and friends, and so on, and whatever happens in the world at large is of no consequence to them unless it directly affects them. Sometimes bad things are allowed to happen to wake people up, to make them lift their heads from looking at their smart phones and notice what is going on in the world.

We have given our power away to our governments and most believe that they have our best interests at heart. But if the government is corrupt and doing unthinkable things, why aren’t the people taking a stand and speaking out against it all? Would Love allow terrible things to happen? NO! But if people think that because it’s not happening to them it doesn’t matter, who are we and what belief system are we following here? That is certainly not Love. And so I believe that things will keep escalating until we are forced to wake up and look at what is going on in the world and then take a stand for what is right and just, not only for ourselves but for all people everywhere. For Love and Compassion to win on this planet, we have to wake up from the illusion.

Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~

Card For The Weekend

Thou Shalt Love The Lord Your God

Our card for the weekend, June 9th and 10th, is taken from the Loving Words from Jesus Card Deck – “Thou shalt love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” (Mark 12:30)

When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was this was His answer: 29“The most important one,” answered Jesus, “is this: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ (Mark 12:29-30) So when we are wondering what we should be doing,  we have the most important commandment to guide us.

However, how many of us can say that we actually follow this commandment? In today’s society, with our busy-ness and our technology, how many of us take the time to love God, to spend time reading His word or praying every day? God doesn’t only want to be part of our lives on Sunday when we go to church, He wants to be part of our lives every second of every day. He wants a relationship with us and not a part time relationship but a full time one. He wants us to come to Him not only in times of trouble and sadness, but He wants us to come to Him in times of happiness and joy as well. He wants to share our lives, to be our constant companion, our dearest friend and father.

God is not some old man with a long white beard sitting on a throne on a cloud somewhere, He’s in our hearts, He’s part of us and we are part of Him. He is everywhere and in everything. Maybe if we had a better relationship with God, we would find that our lives are better. We would have more love, and more joy, and more peace in our lives if we loved and acknowledged Him. So many people feel alone in life when in reality we are never alone, even if we don’t realize it ourselves, God is always with us. But if we forget to, or refuse to, acknowledge Him and take the time to have a relationship with Him, then yes life can feel very lonely and difficult indeed. Having a close relationship with God and Jesus doesn’t mean we won’t face troubles, but it does mean that we won’t face them, or anything, alone.

No matter how far we roam in this life, eventually we will all find our way back home to the One who created us and Who loves us more than we can imagine. At some point in our lives something will happen that will show us just how much we need God and that our relationship with Him far exceeds anything else we could ever have. He patiently awaits our return because we are after all the King’s kids!

Have a great weekend everyone! ~Namaste~

Card For Today

Freedom

Our card for today, Tuesday, June 5th, is taken from the Ascended Masters Oracle Cards – Freedom – “Walk away from restrictions and be free! You have the power and the right to change your life so that you experience more freedom.”

We live in a society where we often feel restricted by what is deemed normal or acceptable. There are certain things we are not supposed to talk about or do if we want to be accepted and have friends. However we place restrictions on each other too. In Canada and the US we are supposed to have freedom of speech and yet there are things we say sometimes that gets taken the wrong way and causes issues. For example today, here in Newfoundland, Canada, we had snow, not much but enough to cover surfaces making them look white and so that also means it’s been rather cold for June. I saw a couple of posts in my news feed on Facebook where people made some complaints about the snow.

I don’t often comment on things, but today I decided to make a comment on one of those posts talking about the snow that said this: “We live in a place where the population isn’t being ravaged by some horrible disease, we don’t have volcanoes erupting causing loss of life or loss of homes, we don’t have a corrupt government killing people, and we don’t have bombs falling from the sky, so if a little snow is all we have to complain about, I think we are doing great!” Well that was a mistake on my part because I guess my comment was somehow taken the wrong way. The person who wrote the original post commented on what I said, saying she wasn’t complaining, and I wrote a reply to her comment stating that what I said wasn’t meant to offend her, but before I could post my reply to her she had deleted my comment and hers so there was nothing for me to reply to. I sent her a private message saying that my comment wasn’t meant to offend her and she wrote back saying “Thank you, no harm done”.

At first I was surprised that she had deleted my comment and then I was hurt, so yes there was harm done. I honestly didn’t see the issue with what I had said. Other people commented on the post talking about the weather in Newfoundland and how it’s supposed to be spring and so on, but she didn’t delete those comments. Maybe I’m being over sensitive here, and a definite lesson learned on my part, but here is the thing. If you post something on Facebook you leave it open for people to make comments, that’s part of being on social media and part of the reason I don’t post much myself on Facebook. Sure I share posts that I like but I don’t post much when it comes to my personal life because frankly it’s nobody’s business. Even with these card readings I do I get blow back from some people and that played a big part in why I took a break from doing the readings for several months.

Perhaps you are all wondering what this has to do with our card Freedom. Don’t we all want to be heard? I have lived most of my life trying to filter what I say because I don’t want to hurt or offend anyone. Now at my age when I finally feel comfortable enough in my own skin and I want to speak my truth while still trying not to hurt or offend anyone, what happened today just took me back to school where I was an outcast for the most part and I hardly spoke to anyone. My beliefs and thoughts are not the “norm”, even in my own circle of family and friends. Everyone around me gets to voice their complaints or their thoughts about things happening in the world but me. I get laughed at when I say something that goes against what everyone else is saying or believing.

There is this show on Netflix called “13 Reasons Why”. It’s about a high-school girl who committed suicide and the reasons why she did it. I’m sure many could relate to what happened to not only her but to other kids in that school. Unless of course you were one of the popular kids, in which case you probably loved school. I probably wouldn’t have watched the show, but my daughter who suffers from anxiety and depression watched it and wanted me to watch it too. One of the things I took from that show is that we all have a voice and we all deserve to be heard and not be ridiculed or shamed for whatever it is we have to say as long as it causes no harm to anyone.

Sometimes I wonder just how far we have come from high-school when I see how we treat each other today as adults. Perhaps when something is said that we don’t understand or don’t like, it might be an idea to talk about it, to open a dialog, instead of shutting someone down because we don’t agree with what was said. We have to give others and ourselves the freedom to be who they, and who we ourselves, truly are. Otherwise we are going to continue to wear masks, pretending to be someone or something we are not so that we can be accepted by our peers. That my friends is not freedom. True freedom is in being who we really are, our authentic selves, and in allowing other people to be who they truly are too without judgment or ridicule because we don’t like or understand who they are. When Jesus said “Love one another”, He didn’t qualify that command with “love them if they are like you, love them if they believe as you do, love them if they are the same color or the same religion”. His command was clear, we are to love each other no matter what our differences may be.

Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~

Card For Today

Acceptance

Our card for today, Monday, June 4th, is taken from the Archangel Raphael Healing Oracle Cards – Acceptance – “Dear God and Archangel Raphael, please help me accept that everything is going in the right direction.”

Sometimes when we look around at the things that are happening on this planet, it can be difficult to believe that God is in command and that there is a Divine plan at work here. Especially when we see that some of the things occurring on the planet are causing loss of life, human and/or animal life. However we are being asked to have faith and trust that God is indeed in control and that the Divine plan is actually unfolding as it should. As Psalm 33:11 states: “The counsel of the Lord stands forever, the plans of His heart from generation to generation.”

There are Divine reasons why things happen as they do, even if we don’t know or understand what those reasons are. Sometimes bad things happen because God uses those times of trouble to bring us to Him, or to bring people together, or to wake people up to what is happening so that they will then take a stand and speak out against injustice. Nothing happens by chance, everything is ordained. We cannot begin to know the mind of God which is infinite when we view things through our own finite minds. We must accept with faith that God’s plan is at work in spite of the bad things that happen.

You see when bad things happen that cause loss of life, we are horrified and many ask “how could God, the God of love, allow such things to happen?” We feel this way because we believe that death is the very worst thing that can happen to us. I’m a big believer in the teachings of Kryon as channeled through Lee Carroll and Kryon says that many of us who incarnated this time around on this planet knew that there was a chance that we could die in some horrific way, but we didn’t care, we wanted to be here anyways.

And then Kryon goes on to say that when we die we go Home, home to the other side, our home that we left behind in order to be here. And back Home we have friends and family who have passed on before us, but also friends and family who didn’t incarnate this time around and who we can’t remember right now because of the veil that separates us from them. Kryon says that when it’s our turn to leave this physical plane, there will be a party on the other side to celebrate our return back home. We have to move beyond our own beliefs about what death is or isn’t and know that it’s not the end, death is like a rebirth back to the Home we left when we came here, nothing more.

So even though what is going on in our world may appear to be a contradiction to what we believe the Divine Plan for this earth is or should be, we must have faith and trust that everything that happens is part of that plan, whether we understand it or not.

Have a great day everyone! ~Namaste~

Card For The Weekend

8 Justice

Our card for the weekend, June 2nd & 3rd, is taken from the Archangel Power Tarot Cards – Justice – “Fight for justice and equality. Rulings made in your favor. Don’t give up!”

As Lightworkers part of our mission on this planet is to fight for justice and equality among all peoples and even for all the creatures that we share this planet with. Zechariah 7:9 says: “This is what the LORD Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.” I saw it written somewhere that justice is love and love is justice. The main teaching of Jesus was to love one another and so if we love one another we will see that justice is done. If we truly love everyone then we won’t stand by and watch while anyone, or any group, is being oppressed or bullied. We are meant to stand up for those who are unable to stand up for themselves. If we stand by and do nothing while we see others being oppressed or bullied, then we are just as bad as those doing the bullying or oppressing, because by doing nothing we allow the action or behavior to continue.

It can be difficult to do what is right when it goes against what the majority is doing. But the reason so much bad happens in this world is because good people do nothing. So many people on this planet today are so caught up with their technology that no one sees what is going on around them. All you have to do is go to a mall, or another busy place with lots of people around, and just look at how many people are walking around looking at their cell phone. And I’m not talking about people who are walking around alone, I’m talking about people who are with someone else also doing the same thing. Sometimes it seems like we have forgotten how to communicate with one another one on one. It seems we are all too engrossed in something on our phones. The same applies at restaurants, so many people are looking at their phones instead of enjoying the company of their family or friends who are with them.

Something is wrong here people. I’m not against technology as I personally think some of it is great, but it does have its place and time and should not be a substitute for paying attention to what is happening in the world around us, or for genuine interaction with the people in our lives and not just on social media. Our full attention is needed if we are going to correct the many injustices in this world. Some injustices are going to require people to stand up and speak out against the crimes we see happening around us. I understand that no one wants to draw attention to themselves. We live in a society where so many are trying to blend in rather than stand out and speak up. It takes courage and strength to do what is right, what is just, but that is what we are being called on to do. It is up to us, “we the people”, to make a stand for what is right and to hold accountable those who oppress or bully those who are too weak to stand up for themselves.

This reminded me of a song by the Maranatha Singers – Micah 6:8 “He has shown thee, O man, what is good; and what the LORD requires of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.” You can find the song on Youtube – Maranatha! Have a great weekend everyone! ~Namaste~
